Is your kid emotionally well?

Emotional intelligence of a child is more important than academic intelligence.

This has to be nurtured from young age. Are we teaching the children to take success and failure in the same stride?

I think we should teach them that success and failure need not be taken objectively and should be subjective. Are we teaching them to do things at their pace and according to their capacity or are we teaching them to run a rat race?
Where are we heading to? Teaching the child to have a balance in life is important. This can be done only at home. Giving the child a lot of freedom, respecting their decision making ability, teaching them to be independent from the beginning, and having open discussions with them on anything under the sun, giving opportunities for questioning will help them nurture this intelligence.
They will be able to lead a better life, and take proper decisions. Thus there is no comparison as to who is successful or a failure.
